Goro's Diner (Udagawacyo branch)
If you follow Tokyo's current hamburger trends, you will hear the name "Goro's Diner" often. I've introduced Goro's Diner in my first post in my blog. Since then, the restaurant opened a second branch in Udagawacyo, which is near the Shibuya station.
The difference between the original restaurant (Jingumae) and the new restaurant (Udagawacyo) is that the the Udagawacyo restaurant features charcoal-grilled hamburgers during dinnertime. As you can imagine, the charcoal flavor will add a new dimension to the hamburger. Here's what the hamburgers at Udagawacyo restaurant looks like...
The cheeseburger without vegetables. Since my vacation trip to New York, I try to eat hamburgers without vegetables. I do this because in this method of eating, I believe that I will fully taste the beefy taste of the hamburger. I can tell you that this cheeseburger did not disappoint me. The combination of added charcoal smoke and the melted cheese works perfectly.
This is the bacon cheeseburger, cooked on charcoal grill. One of the major feature of Goro's Diner is that their hamburgers are a work of art. The genius behind this, Mr. Yoshiazawa, takes pride in making his hamburgers look excellent. He is also a spice magician, using different amounts of spices in his hamburgers so that the spices will be able to draw the maximum flavor out of the ingredients.
This is the "Classic Burger" cooked on charcoal grill. It is a different kind of a bacon cheeeburger, but the type of the bacon and cheese is different. While the "regular" bacon cheeseburger uses cheddar cheese and regular blend of spices, this "Classic Burger" uses Swiss (Emmental cheese) and only salt and pepper for seasoning. In my opinion, this is the best-balanced hamburger you can eat at Goro's Diner. If I had to choose my favorite hamburger at this place, this is it. Perfect balance of the ingredients, with the irresistable taste of the Emmental cheese is a must-eat combination.

Love your site, and great review! Nice to see more Goro's goodness. I'd fix the link at the bottom though, clicking on it takes one to Great Burger. I'd also check out the Gotham Grill http://ebisu.goroh.net/?eid=942751 and Soul Dressing http://cru.seesaa.net/article/112380252.html

Dear Brutus,
Thank you for your comments. I have corrected the link to Goro's Diner webpage.
As for "Gotham Grill" and "Soul Dressing", I will try to eat their hamburgers ASAP. If you have any other hamburger restaurant recommendations, please let me know!
